We hope you enjoy your new Owlet Cam! Below are answers to some common questions so you get a fantastic experience with Owlet Cam.
Turn the lamp on / off on the front of the camera.
Did you know that you can turn off the light on the front of your Cam? It is easy! Open your app and click the "Account" button in the lower right corner. Then, under "My Owlet Devices", click on your connected Cam. When on this page, scroll down to the "Status Light" button to turn the lamp on and off.
Turn on / off the background sound.
With your Owlet Cam you have 3 different sound function options to choose from.
- Cam Audio: On – Your Cam audio will play through your mobile device while in the Owlet App.
- Cam Audio: Background – Your Cam audio will play through your mobile device, even outside the Owlet App.
- Cam Audio: Off – Your camera's sound is off on your mobile device.
To do this, make sure you are on the "Home" tab in your Owlet App, located in the lower left corner. Then click the up arrow next to your connected Cam to display the drop-down menu options. You should now see the "Cam Audio" option on the screen. Click on the word "on" next to the "Cam Audio" option. A popup should be displayed with the options for switching between on, off or background sounds
Stream video clips on two different smartphones.
Exciting news, you can stream photos from your Cam in up to 5 smart devices at once! Whether dad, grandmother or babysitting also want to check in on your little one, they can easily. Simply, each person retrieves the app and logs in with the same account details.
* Important Note: If you have multiple people who want to play video from the same camera, do not create a separate app login for each account. This will cause Cam to disconnect from the previous account and reconnect to the new app account. Make sure everyone who provides streaming access (up to 5 smart devices at the same time) uses the same login information.
