Initiated by the Art Dubai Group and supported by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Art Week is the region's largest cultural festival, which takes place in the UAE every March as part of Dubai's art season.
The 9thth The issue of Art Week starts Saturday, March 16, with over 500 events taking place over seven days over three Emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Dubai Art, the flagship cultural event of Art Week, returns to Madinat Jumeirah, March 20-23, with its most comprehensive program so far consisting of four gallery, performance art and music, talks and workshops, special projects and family programming. For its 13th the release fair introduces Bawwaba, a new section focused on projects on Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Central and South Asia and the UAE NOW, which explores the country's developing landscape's independent local artistic platforms.
The 6thth edition of Dubai Art Season "Take a walk on Art Side" runs from March 1 to April 30. Under the auspices of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, SIKKA Art Fair returns for his 9th edition in the heart of Old Dubai in Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood from 16-24 March. The fair, the first to be opened during Art Week, reflects 2019 as the year's tolerance in the UAE by bringing together new regional talents that show works under the theme An open window for art and tolerance. For the first time this year, Sikka Art Fair will offer two distinct but intertwined experiences: "Sikka by Day", celebrating Al Fahidi tenants, the neighborhood and their art exhibitions and installations. and "Sikka by Night" where several cultural activations will be hosted.
March 18, Alaskan Avenue Galleries Night will offer an extended evening with exhibitions, commissions, artist meetings, guest projects, exhibitions, excursions and workshops.
