How to Help CA Fires

Since wild fires continue to spread and displace thousands of people and animals in California, many organizations need support. Here are some ways to help those affected by fires:

Give room to live

Airbnb launched a web page where you can donate an extra room to a firefighter or rescue worker, and you can provide a free space to stay here.

Help the animals

Give money to the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation, which will support various safeguards.

Give unpleasant food

If you are unable to donate money, you can donate unpleasant foods to Salvation Army Ventura Corps, which provide food and protection to victims and first respondents.

Donate money

There are many places that need financial support, including United Way Disaster Relief Fund, the Ventura County Community Foundation's Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund, and of course American Red Cross. You can also donate directly to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Volunteer your time

If you are in Butte County, CA, Caring Choices is currently seeking medical volunteers. If that does not concern you, keep an eye on volunteer opportunities through California Volunteers.

Stay safe, everything!
