The launch vehicle is new. The Long March 7 carrier rocket was developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is a new generation of medium-sized launch vehicle newly developed by China’s manned spaceflight project for launching cargo ships. It can also be used to launch satellites and other Spacecraft. The rocket adopts new technologies such as liquid oxygen kerosene engine, which is green, non-toxic and non-polluting. The total length of the arrow is 53.1 meters, the diameter of the core is 3.35 meters, and four boosters with a diameter of 2.25 meters are bundled. The take-off quality is adopted. About 597 tons, with a capacity of 13.5 tons in low earth orbit, will greatly enhance China’s ability to enter space.
The launch site is new. Hainan Wenchang Space Launch Site is China’s fourth space launch site and the first coastal space launch site in China. It was approved by the State Council and the Central Military Commission in August 2007 and was completed in November 2014. It has the advantages of low latitude, high launching efficiency, wide shooting direction, good safety in falling area and convenient shipping. It can meet the needs of a new generation of non-toxic and pollution-free launch vehicles and new spacecraft launch missions. In the future, it will mainly undertake cargo ships and large ships. The testing process is new. Hainan Wenchang Space Launch Site adopts the new “Three Vertical and One Far” launch test mode for vertical assembly, vertical test, vertical transfer and remote test. It realizes that the various interfaces of the air arrow liquid are not broken, and it is not necessary to re-open in the launch area. In the test, the rocket can be launched within 3 days of the transfer, which greatly improves the launch efficiency.
The arrow is loaded with new ones. The Long March 7 carrier rocket load combination consists of the expedition 1A upper stage, multi-purpose spacecraft reduction ratio return cabin, the Xiaolong No. 1 space debris active cleaning aircraft, 2 Tian Ge aircraft, in-orbit filling experimental device and Soaring Star 6 Class 7 load composition. These loads are all first-time launches, and 19 scientific verifications will be carried out by the Expedition-1A as a demonstration platform.
