What causes skin to age?


Aging is inevitable, despite how many anti-aging products there are in the market that promise you will look like you are in your 30's again.

While it is impossible, I amIt will probably not surprise you to learn that there are external factors that affect how we age, like our environment and how we treat our bodies.

However, what can shock you is exactly what affects your skin.

There are things that you do every day – it can be second nature to you – which makes you grow older faster!

We can buy expensive skin care products and get treatments to try to override signs of aging and injuries, but if we do not make lifestyle adjustments then these treatments will only go so far.

Well, ladies, today I will let you know the creepy everyday things that make you faster age!

This way, you can make some changes in your life if you want.

I'm sure you'll find some shocks on this list!

1. Inflammatory foods

What you put in your body is as important as what you put on your body.

Some inflammatory foods that can make you age faster include:

But why is that so?

Eating too many inflammatory foods can break down cells in your body like are responsible for collagen production.

As a refreshment, collagen is essential to our skin, as it keeps your skin firm and wrinkle-free.

If processed, fried and surgical foods are included in your daily diet, you may want to make some adjustments.

Not just for your skin's health, but for yours overall body health!

A good rule of thumb is everything in moderation.

3. Alcohol

But drink too much and too often is very dehydrating.

Alcohol is a natural diuretic, which means it drops a lot of your fluid from the body.

4. Ignore your eyes

If you have a skin care routine for your face, I hope eye cream is part of it!

Many people I know write it off and think that ordinary and moisturizers are a good substitute.

This is not so.

6. Sleep your face down

Now this is a tricky one.

This causes creases in the skin to stay permanently.

7. Less sleep

You think carefully, "Gosh, first is how I sleep, now it's how much I sleep that affects aging?"

CDC recommends that adults get 7-9 hours of sleep each night.

Excuse me when I try to keep a laugh – if you have kids you know it seems impossible!

But this number varies from person to person because we are all different.

You know how much sleep you need to know your best.

I really try and squeeze in the recommended hours by moving around my routine if I need to.

When we sleep, our skin has time to repair and recover from environmental stressors, and night care products have time to go to work.

Consistent Not getting enough sleep can create dark undereye circles, puffiness and dull skin.

In addition, there are countless studies that show that you do not get enough sleep can harm your overall health.
