As a mom to Izzie eight, Ollie Five, Mason Three and our last addition that has not yet arrived (currently pregnant for the fifth time with a little girl), I've experienced being a new mom just a few times. I know that I am very obliged to put pressure on myself to have everything together, especially with older children, and that I still have to do school and preschool, and to remember all that comes with it.
Along the way I realized that you can not pour from an empty cup and have learned how important it is for you and your family to make sure you take care of yourself and are kind to yourself as a new mom.
Being a new mom comes with a lot of new territory, including the sleep disorder to have a newborn, a new routine for the whole family and the large amount of extra laundry you get with a new baby. I'm also very aware, the older my children get, how precious and short time is when your baby is small and you want to enjoy it without undergoing any extra pressure.
