Updated from September 14, 2015. This is one of the most useful tricks I've learned over the years that keep your weight in control. Yes, most times when you think you're feeling hungry, it's your body's need for water. You can become hungry for water if you do not drink enough.
We get all famine at different times of the day. What is your immediate reaction? Take a snack? Or reach out for the bag of chips in front of you? Well, this is one of the main reasons we tend to surpass. We do not control our bodies and we do not even understand our body signals. The first thing you will reach when you're hungry is a glass of water.
Of course, it's also a good place to start regulating your meals and watching what you put in your meal. But the first is that your body is hungry for water. Interestingly, I experienced this first hand tonight. I read a book when I began to feel hungry. Its late and I usually take my dinner light and I go for a walk later. So it's quite possible that my body is low on the fuel.
Instead of gorging something (I did not have access to anything that's helpful), I was thinking of testing this theory and having a glass of water. And, voila, my fighters dropped, did not get up and I went and slept happily. So, if you ever feel hungry try drinking water. It can be as simple as that!
How to find out if you're just hungry for water?
You start to feel hungry in irregular times. This is one of the most common symptoms that we often fail to diagnose correctly. Not having a regular routine is also the guilty one. So a good place to start would be to regulate your meals and not skip any of the meals very diligently.
Feeling a little energy. If you suddenly start to feel low or sleepy or dizzy or less energetic, drink some water. Mixing some honey helps raise your sugar levels and give you instant energy. But make sure you have your next meal on time. A glass of fresh fruit juice or a cup of green tea is also recommended.
Lots of Body Aches. If you begin to experience body weight suddenly instead of over time, it usually means that your nutrition is not balanced. Drink a lot of water, take lots of fruits, eat balanced meals with good amounts of protein and get yourself tested for vitamin D or B12, if it's just the case.
And yes, when you do all this, do not forget to keep track of your urine. Dark urine usually means dehydration and severe dehydration can cause enough body problems to make you weak for at least one week. Now that you know your body may get hungry for water, it's time for your next glass of water.
Until then, Ciao.
